Due to generous support, the Washington DC Stake was able to contribute 950 emergency food boxes, or an equivalent of an estimated 20,000 pounds of food which was delivered to the Capital Area Food Bank. An additional $10,000 in food donations were picked up by 10 local area food banks at the Bishop's Storehouse. 300 volunteers showed up at 3 locations. The Chinese Branch collected over 90 cans in addition to some cash. 18 members from our branch participated in two packing sites on Saturday morning.

Baby Girl for Su Family

On Thursday, September 5, 2013, a baby daughter, Carina, was born to Charles and May Su in Annapolis, Maryland. She weighed in at a healthy 8.5 lbs and measured 19 3/4 inches long. Both mother and baby are doing great now.
May and I are grateful to be part of the big family of Chinese branch. A big congratulations to Charles and May on the addition of their new family member!
