 Members and friends of the Montgomery Chinese Branch and Twin Lakes Branch, We would like to invite you and your family to join us at the Chinese New Year celebration on Saturday, February 20, 2016, from 6pm to 8pm at the Washington DC Stake Center at 10000 Stoneybrook Drive, Kensington, MD 20895. In the thick of this historic blizzard of 2016, here is the official announcement for the cancellation of church meetings tomorrow.

Dear members and friends of Montgomery Branch,

With the loving direction and guidance of our Stake President Baird, he has announced that we will not have Sunday church services during this weekend's snow storm.

Please contact your home teaching and visiting teaching families to ensure their safety, especially the elderly and families with young children.

When deemed safe or that you're capable, the Stake Presidency encourages us to take this opportunity to provide service in your neighborhood.

Branch Temple Activity

Over 15 members attended the temple activity today at 3:30pm. The room was full, including many non-Chinese speaking members. Escorted by Sister Tsai, Sister Sharon Xu attended the temple for her first time. Brother and Sister Bates organized a Primary activity in the Stake Center.

YM Klondike Derby and Camping

Since the combined YM program with the Kentlands ward, our YM has been greatly blessed. This is the first time they've gone camping. Although Steven Zheng was the only YM from our youth that went, here's what he had to say about the activity:

"In the Klondike camping I felt very happy because I got to do these all very challenging obstacles and how to save people's life and how to survive. I also learn a lot of lesson in the camp. Such as teamwork. Teamwork helps you to accomplish things quickly. This what I felt at the Klondike camping."
