Youth doing service projects during the Covid19 pandemic

Not enough credit is given to our youth leaders and the young men that are willing to get out of the house to do service projects. These are just some of the service projects the young men have done during the Covid19 pandemic. They are an incredible group of young men from Kentland's and Montgomery Branch.

Youth Barbecue

On a very sunny afternoon, Da and Abbey Zhao for opened up their new deck for a barbecue activity. According to President Huang, "We got to sit on brand new patio chairs Da and Abbey purchased yesterday for this event, enjoyed the sunshine on our face coming from a blue sky devoid of any cloud, and felt the cool breeze gently moving on our skin. The food was great as usual. After lunch, we used some time to write Mother's Day cards for the sisters in the branch, and played ultimate frisbee. I am so grateful for have spent this beautiful afternoon with our YM and YW. It has been too long we did not see each other since the pandemic." About 9 or 10 youth attended the barbecue. Thanks to Da and Abbey for hosting this fun youth activity.

I'm so proud of @陈士胜弟兄非常高兴 today! He has a chance to enter the waters of baptism to make a covenant with our Heavenly Father! I am so grateful for his example and also for this wonderful opportunity that Heavenly Father has given us. Though we have every confusion and challenge in the world, we can still receive direction and comfort through the gospel that God has given us! I thank Brother Chen for his friendship and this wonderful gospel!

我親愛的兄弟姐妹們，

我要感謝你們所有人今天下午到陳弟兄和姊妹家清理院子。 我們原本打算工作3個小時，但大約一個小時後就填滿了垃圾車。 這表示我們非常有效率，團結力量大。 感謝您的榜樣以及這個與您一起工作的機會。 經過一年多的孤立，我們終於能夠團結在一起了。 因為有你們，美麗的心情滿溢。 而且我敢肯定， 陳弟兄和姊妹都很感謝我們的服務。 我們是耶穌基督的門徒，我們服務彼此。

My beloved brothers and sisters,

I want to thank all of you for coming to yard cleaning at brother and sister Chen's house this afternoon. We were planning to work 3 hours, but we filled up the dump after about an hour. This shows how efficient we were and what a join force could accomplish. I am so grateful for your example and the opportunity to work with you. After more than a year of isolation, we are finally be able to get together. My heart is full because of you. And I am sure brother and sister Chen are thankful for our service. We are disciples of Jesus Christ and we serve each other.
