2025 June 17 to 21 Young Women camp and Young Men camp

 This year the young women and young men went camping on the same week at different locations, right after school year ended from June 17th to June 21. The young women went to Camp Round Meadow in Catoctin. The bishops visited the young women camping on Thursday night for testimony meeting.

The young men hiked the Appalachian Trail and camped at Greenbrier State Park and then to Sandy Spring Adventure Park for ziplining and rope course. Lucky them, they tent camped and that week it rained a lot. The bishops visited the young men testimony meeting on Friday. Aaron Fugal took a lot of courage and bored his testimony!

2025-06-08 Missionary Farewell for Elder Clayton Zhao

As part of Elder Clayton Zhao's last weekend in Maryland before his mission service begins, an informal open house at his house was held yesterday afternoon. Many friends arrived to congratulate and say good luck to Elder Zhao. The Sacrament Meeting today, June 8, was dedicated to Elder Zhao's farewell. President Da Zhao, Elder Zhao's father, shared his fatherly advice to Elder Zhao as he embarks on his mission. The branch choir along with the youth sang "I'll Find You My Friend" for Elder Zhao. Then Abbey Zhao, Elder Zhao's mother, shared motherly wisdom for her son. Elder Zhao then shared his reasons for serving a mission to share the joys of the gospel with others. Elder Zhao will report to the Missionary Training Center in Provo this Tuesday, before going to the China Hong Kong Mission after 3 weeks in the MTC. Elder Zhao is the 19th missionary to represent the Branch. Have a wonderful mission, Elder Zhao.
