Youth Cherry Blossom Activity

On an otherwise dull and mundane Tuesday of Spring Break, eleven youth, accompanied by a few adults and their families, ventured together on the Metro to the Mall in Washington DC. Besides taking hundreds of photos along the way, they patronized a couple of Smithsonian museums. Although cherry blossoms had not bloomed in full yet, they had lots of fun posing for pyramid and group photos. The weather was great! "Everyone had fun! It was awesome!"

Primary Easter Activity

A week before Easter, about 16 children participated in the 2013 Easter Activity in the Primary Room at the chapel. Activity rooms were set up for writing letters to our two full-time missionaries out from our branch (Elder Tsai and Sister Tung), taking photos to send to the full-time missionaries, creating an Easter egg with a special message, and weaving a colorful Easter mat. Instructions were then given to all of the children for the Easter egg hunt. A Senior Primary child was paired off with a Junior Primary child to form a team. The children raced off to the back stairs and parking lot to search for the hidden eggs. Soon after 10 minutes, all eggs were recovered. Prizes were awarded to the team with the most eggs and to the finder of the two-colored egg. The activity ended with the partaking of delicious refreshments, including Easter cupcakes, muffins, strawberries, grapes, and drinks. This was Sister Hardy's last Primary activity. We are grateful to her for all her contributions to our Primary and also to the Primary presidency for the execution of an enjoyable Easter activity.

Relief Society Activity

The sisters or our branch engaged in a hotpot fun night at the Kentlands Chapel on Saturday evening, March 16. They enjoyed a nice hotpot dinner while catching up on old times. Led by Sister Chang, the sisters participated in a very fun game of Jeopardy. There were plenty of smiles as they tried to answer challenging questions and as they received their prizes.
