Our youth had a great time ice skating at Cabin John on a no school Monday . Thanks to Bro Fugal and Bro Ly helping to watch the kids. They even had pizza during their break.

2023-12-31 Baptism of Lizhong Huang
On this the last day of 2023, Brother Lizhong Huang was baptized by Elder Cook in the Kentlands Chapel. Brothers Patrick Shen and Charles Huang delivered the talks on baptism and on the gift of the Holy Ghost. Ben Tsai welcomed him to the Elders Quorum, after which President Da Zhao welcomed him to the branch. The music, prayers, and witnesses were provided mostly by the full-time missionaries. Elder Whisenant played the piano, while Sophy Fugal directed the music. Sister Nelson offered the invocation, and Sister Yang offered the benediction. Sisters Yang and Nelson and their companions were asked to act as witnesses for the actual baptismal ordinance.
Brother Huang was accompanied by his two daughters, who traveled from California to visit him and to attend his baptism. Although most of us have accustomed to seeing Brother Huang attending church and quorum meetings and activities this whole past year, it was a great joy to witness his baptism today. Congratulations, Brother Huang, and welcome to the Montgomery Mandarin Branch.
