General Conference & Branch Lunch

Last conference, the talks seem to be awesome and applicable to our lives. But this Conference, the talks were even more powerful and practical for ourselves and our callings. Themes relevant to our times our economic uncertainty and moral decline ring out throughout the 33 talks given. Topics included provident living, the need to attend the temple more often, how to have more strength to live through adversity, the importance of the Atonement, importance of prophets, and the need to be better missionaries. We were richly blessed with messages that we need today! Let us take the time to study and research these important messages for us and our families and our branch. In between the two Sunday sessions, we enjoyed a simple deli lunch prepared by Sisters Theodore and Fugal. Thanks for the delectable food, Ashley & Sophy & Jess (for the ice cream)! Over 40 people attended. We enjoyed seeing the Jewel's and talking with each other. We were filled with delicious food, but we were more filled with spiritual nourishment, social upliftment, and mental knowledge. How lucky we are in our branch and church to be able to have living prophets and apostles and inspired leaders to guide us. Again, let us diligently seek out their inspiring and important and relevant messages for us.
