This past Tuesday, we received a personal invitation from Henri Ly to guess the mission to which he was called. Many people enthusiastically mustered up their best guesses and officially submitted their guesses employing the Mission Call app.
This morning, we were privileged to attend the Sacrament Meeting where Henri announced his call. First, his mother, Mindy, shared her conversion story and her pride and joy in Henri receiving his mission call. The Ly family sang "Called to Serve" with the whole congregation standing up to sing with them. Then Henri talked about his process of deciding to serve a mission and his amazing experience at BYU. After his talk, he read his mission call to serve in the California San Jose Vietnamese Speaking Mission. He reports to the MTC in September. Henri will be the 18th missionary to represent the Montgomery Branch.
Congratulations to Henri and to the whole Ly family for this momentous milestone in their family and in the branch history. We wish you the best for you, Henri, and your family!
