On September 18 at 11:00am in the Centreville Stake Center, President Steve Hilton speaking in Mandarin officially organized the long awaited Twin Lakes Chinese Branch in the Centreville
Stake. President Hilton released
the old branch presidency: Brandon Welling, Bowei Zhu, and Chengxi Ye. He then called the new branch presidency: Ta-cheng
Hsu, Kevin Mallory, and Mike Shen.
The newly formed
Twin Lakes Branch (Chinese) will serve Chinese members residing in all eight stakes
of the Washington DC Coordinating Council in the Washington DC South Mission in Virginia. To accomodate the expected
nonmember Chinese guests, the starting time for that day was changed to 11:00am. For the balance of 2011, the meeting time schedule will be from 1:00pm to
4:00pm. Beginning in January 2012, the
Twin Lakes
Branch will meet from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, with Sacrament Meeting
convening in the Relief Society Room of the Centreville Stake Center at
9:00 a.m.
Congratulations to the Chinese Saints in Virginia on the branch, and congratulations to the new branch presidency for accepting their new callings and challenges ahead.
