For the first time in recorded history, the Branch decided to hold a Thanksgiving dinner. By consensus, the event was held the Saturday after Thanksgiving at 6pm on November 25 in the Relief Society room in the Kentlands Chapel. About 35 people attended. Brother and Sister Anderson prepared 2 turkeys for the event. Jason Liu welcomed everyone, and Charles Huang offered a blessing on the food. Jason emceed a game in which everyone wrote down one thing unique about themselves. He then read each piece of paper and asked for nominations. He even allowed a vote. Then he asked the person who wrote on the piece of paper to reveal themselves. Everyone had fun guessing. Everyone enjoyed talking and chatting. It was a nice way to celebrate Thanksgiving as a Branch and to meet new and old friends.
