Today we were so excited for Sister Mia Liu. After many months of studying with the missionary sisters, she decided to enter the waters of baptism today. She had chosen Sisters Meili Shen and Charlotte Shen to share brief messages about the purpose of baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost. She also invited Sisters Ella Chong and Suzie Hu to offer the prayers. The baptism and confirmation ordinances were performed by Elder Evans and Brother Wesley Wei, respectively. She was given a heartfelt welcome to the Relief Society by Sister Li-Fang Tsai and a welcome to the branch by President Da Zhao. Because many missionaries had known and worked with Mia, 3 returned missionaries viewed the baptism via Zoom. Also, this baptismal service was the last of many, in which Sister Michelle Zheng had served as the music conductor. Sister Zheng will leave for the Provo Utah MTC this week. Welcome, Sister Liu to our branch as the newest member!
